The best thing about the Ninjago Fire Temple Lego kit, as with all Lego toys, is the surprise of the end result. On first look it appears to be a standard, albeit impressive, Lego temple. Look again, however, and you’ll see that the Fire Dragon is hiding behind the temple, waiting for the right moment to reveal himself!

The dragon itself is an excellent character for your child to play with. He looks impressive and is very large by Lego standards. The details add to the wow-factor of this toy, and his jaws are enough to put fear into any baddie! You can move and bend him to recreate various battles, and rotate his neck to help him aim and fire at the ninja enemies.

Because of everything the Ninjago dragon can do, it isn’t the quickest and easiest Lego set to build. This is why it’s recommended for children aged between eight and fourteen. If you buy this set for an enthusiastic younger child then make sure you can help them put it together.

Another thing that’s bound to impress about this set is the fact that it includes so many different weapons: 3 golden swords, 3 black swords, 2 silver swords, Nunchucks of Lightning, Shurikens of Ice, 1 thunderbolt, 1 spear, 1 bone axe, 2 daggers, Scythe of Quakes and the Dragon Sword of Fire.

Like many of the other more detailed Lego toys, the Ninjago Fire Temple isn’t the cheapest toy you can buy. That said, it comes with a huge number of pieces that, when put together properly, create something special. Well worth it if you have a child who loves to build Lego models, and will enjoy the building process as much as they will playing with the finished product. This review is from: LEGO Ninjago Fire Temple 2507 (Toy) the fire temple is a central piece in the lego ninjago series. i think that it comes with 1,176 pieces, about. it comes with 3 assembly books, one for different parts. as you can imagine, assembling this took a few hours. the precision and attention to detail was outstanding! it looks quite real – resembles asian architecture. this one has a phenomenal moving part – when you pull up on the sword (kind of like the arthurian legend), it pushes down on a lever which snaps open the two sides of the building – thus revealing – the fire breathing dragon! the dragon here appears larger than the solo dragon. it has attachments on each “feather” so that 8 characters can be attached. of course, there’s a gong, plastic flames, lots of characters – good and bad. this is one of the very best “bangs for the buck” in the lego world! this is one that seems designed to really be played with (of course the architectural pieces don’t seem to be). beware, there are so many pieces, some novel, that it falls apart quickly. thus, if you want to play with it, or for that matter, even move it, i think that it’s wise to glue together the main structure of the building and the dragon – so that essentially moving parts aren’t glued but stationary parts are glued in order that they don’t fall apart. i give everything that i review a grade, and i believe that the ninjago fire temple deserves an “A+”. i recommend this for lego builders who have an interest in the ninjago series. it’s price has come down a little bit ($10) in recent weeks and it might come down further, thus enabling you to get an outstanding set at a more affordable price. if price isn’t an issue for you, then i recommend it whole heartedly. Not only does this come with a new Lagoona Monster High Doll, but her hydration chamber (which she uses to moisturize after a dead tiring day) also doubles as a lamp for your girl’s bedroom!

Is Lagoona’s Hydration Station Worth Buying?

The best thing about Lagoona’s Hydration Station is the fact that it isn’t just a toy: it’s also a funky lamp for your child’s bedroom. She can take the doll out of the hydration chamber when she wants (without the water spilling everywhere), and then put it back once she’s finished playing with it.

Setting up Lagoona’s Hydration Station is easy. You’ll need to have 3 AA batteries ready, then simply fill the chamber with water using the funnel provided. It only takes a few minutes before it’s ready to use. There are a few different lighting effects to create the ambience you want: just press the shell button on the front and you can leave the light on constantly, put it on flash mode, or leave it on the extended flash. At the same time, bubbles make their way through the chamber for added effect.

Another benefit of this toy is that it comes with the doll included, unlike some doll accessories available to buy. This is a different version of the Lagoona doll that’s been released previously, so if your daughter already has one you won’t need to worry that this will be a duplicate. She also comes with some cute accessories: moisturizer, a water bottle, her pet fish Neptuna and her diary, and there’s a shelf for each within the hydration chamber.

Although the doll itself is high quality and unique, just like any other in the Monster High series, the hydration chamber doesn’t have much scope in terms of how your child is going to play with it. Note that it’s designed more as an accessory for the bedroom rather than a full scene for your child and her doll to interact with.

In short, Lagoona’s Hydration Station is something different from the Monster High range. It looks impressive, but it won’t be the hydration chamber that keeps your child playing with this toy for months and months – the doll itself is what will keep her interested. However, if she loves to decorate her room with funky accessories then this certainly fits the bill!

Besides the hydration station, it also comes with a Dead Tired Lagoona and Neptuna, bottle of H20, a journal that really opens with pen, moisturizer bottle, and makeup compact that opens, a base and stand if you want to display Lagoona outside of her hydration chamber, brush, night slippers, a sleep mask for Lagoona and one for Neptuna and water funnel to pour water into the chamber. It takes 3 AA batteries and I was able to fill the chamber and assemble in less than 10 minutes. Super easy. Yes, this thing is as cool as it looks on the Youtube videos, if not cooler. You press the shell on the front and you can switch between three different effects: flashing lights; extended flashing lights, and lights always on. It’s got a built in feature that will turn the hydration station off automatically when left idle to save the batteries. So you can’t really use this as a nightlight that would stay on all night. To get the full effect of the hydration station you need to view it in a dark room to see the different colored bubbles and effects. And Lagoona and Neptuna look so restful in their hydration chamber! It took me some time to get one of these, and I am so happy I did. It’s the best Monster High product out at the moment in my opinion. I hope they keep designing cool products like this in the future. One additional note: In my opinion this is a room accent toy/product. I’m an adult collector so I’m not sure what the little ones will be doing with this, but I would discourage playing hard with it. I was checking out the construction and how they accomplish the bubble and light feature. I think if you were to knock the water chamber about too much you might eventually experience leaking water. I just leave Lagoona in her chamber and use the hydration station as a light accent in my house. Hope this helps. Regarding battery life: this toy uses batteries up quickly. If you notice that the bubbles really aren’t bubbling so much, but the lights are still operating, don’t worry the bubbler isn’t broken, it just fades first before the lights. Highly recommended. It seemed that something was not connecting properly, and after some maneuvering we finally got it to work. She was interested in the bubbles for about 15 minutes. Then she got bored and did not touch this toy in the month afterwards. The bottom line is that this is not really intended as something to be played with, but more as something to be admired, and that enchantment does not last long. So, we decided to buy a dual shower set to replace our old one. It was so stressful when doing the research as there are hundreds of showers throughout the market. Finally, there were 4 brands left in my list, Peerless, Delta, Waterpik, and Ana Bath. First, I deleted Delta product because I thought it was unnecessary to spend about 50 bucks or even 100 bucks more for the same function of shower. One of my friends also told me that they are now buying products from China as the other shower companies do. So, it makes no sense if others can sell 50 bucks but they sell 90 or 120. Second, I took Waterpik out of my list because they only have one combo shower and with the uncomfortable less than 3 star of customer review. Finally, here comes the either-or decision. Peerless is cheaper but they also look cheaper. All their products only provide plastic hose which our family doesn’t like. We have one Waterpik handshower with plastic hose set in another bathroom. The plastic hose is so stiff and twists itself all the time when showering. It is so annoying to spend time re-rotating it. Bad experience. So, here comes Ana Bath. This combo shower set looks great with what we think high-end brushed nickel finish. The hose is made by stainless steel and it is so flexible that it never twists itself. The hose comes with the same finish of the other parts which makes the whole set much much prettier. Finally, how does it function! Well, fantastic!! The normal spray is so smooth with good angle. The other sprays work good as well. The bubbling spray feels nice. You can see a lot of bubble staying on your body when switching to that function. The massage spray is really really strong. Really can relieve some pain, but don’t over-expect it. It is totally different from having massage from human beings. But it does work. The handle of the handshower is perfect. Feel comfortable when holding it. The 3-way diverter looks the same as the other companies’ product but a lot bigger. Looks better and stronger. I have used a solution of vinegar and water once a year to clear out any water softener build up that might be in the shower head. BUT when I got it and installed it it was all loose and swivel-ly and I couldn’t get it to attach properly so I contacted Ana Bath and this is what the response was … “First of all, we sincerely apologize for the defected diverter. To be honest, about 1 out of 200 customers has the same problem you have. We have already passed this issue to our engineers and they are now working on the molds in order to make sure the diverter is 100% non-defected.” OK I was happy with their honesty but when I went to return it they still charged me a 20% handling/restocking fee — ON A PRODUCT THEY KNEW WAS DEFECTIVE! The Rowenta Pro Master 1700-watt iron received 4 out of a possible 5 stars in the field of customer service. Most customers felt that this unit performed according to the manufacturer’s claims. They were happy with the sturdiness of the unit and the craftsmanship. The buyers of this device were thrilled with how much steam the machine produced when ironing their garments.

Even on the medium setting the Pro Master was producing enough heat to removed tough wrinkles. Customers were very happy with how easy the iron was to clean and how infrequently they needed to do it. Most owners felt that the unit was well worth the money. In general, customers felt very satisfied with their purchase and felt it was a smart buy.

There were very few negative complaints about the device. However, one customer stated that she has had extensive access to Rowenta ironing products and that you want to be certain your machine is made in Germany and not China. The best advice I can give anyone is that if you are going to spend the money for the Rowenta brand name, then make sure that the model you are buying says “MADE IN GERMANY”. At one time all Rowenta irons were made in Germany, however several years ago as a cost cutting move, the company farmed out many of its lower price models to China. The difference in quality between the models made in Germany and China is quite dramatic. Every Rowenta German model I have owned or worked with has been mostly reliable, and each provided steady long term use. On the other hand, the lower priced models made in China are known to leak (both clear and brown water), drip, have uneven steam, and only last for a short time. I offer this not only as my own opinion; this is the general consensus among my industry colleagues as well. My previous Rowenta home model just died after 10 years of service. After much research and comparison, I decided on this Rowenta Pro Maser DW-8080 model as a replacement. I have been using it for three weeks and so far am very happy with the purchase. PROS: Great steam power (lots of it!)….even on the medium steam setting it produces enough for getting out wrinkles on linen and cotton. The iron gets out wrinkles in one pass, where my old iron may have taken two or three passes. The pointed nose makes it easy to get into corners. The iron uses regular tap water (unfiltered, straight out of the tap) and comes with a plastic pouring cup which is handy for filling. I have not experienced any dripping or leaking of any kind. The self-clean feature really works, it lets out a BLAST of steam and water that will flush out any particles. CONS: Iron is a bit on the heavy side…it is substantial in your hand. The hand grip seems a bit short in length, and is positioned more towards the back of the unit, which makes the iron feel a bit front-long as you steer it around. The hinged lid covering the water fill hole has to be snapped shut; it requires a pretty good push to get it to snap (though that could be because the unit is new). Despite the few flaws, I think that the Rowenta Pro Master is a great iron for home use. UPDATE 12/2010: I have been using this iron for nearly 11 months now and it is still performing as beautifully as day one. Highly recommend. Fortunately, my previous research narrowed the playing field to B&D’s and Rowenta’s, so I was able to conclude my research much quicker this time. After going through each model that each company makes, and reading all reviews on the Amazon site for each model at least twice, and looking at comments at several other sites as well, I concluded the following: 1. The B&D D2020 was a very unique iron in that the percentage of positive reviews it received compared to negative ones were astonishing….and all it cost was $35. Unfortunately, they discontinued the model several years back, and none of the new models even come close to the D2020. The newer models, (the D6000 series in particular) are bulkier, don’t work nearly as well, and have a strange water filling position where you need to hold the hot iron while you fill it. Still, if you need a good iron and are only willing to pay $40, this is the iron you want. 2. The Rowenta DW8080 is the best iron on the market today for $100 or less. 3. There are a couple of issues like a. a similarly strange water filling position….which ended up not bothering me nearly as much as I originally thought it would b. The handle is rather thick for an iron. It didn’t bother me in the slightest, but it may bother someone with tiny hands c. The cord is short, as others have mentioned, but if you have an outlet relatively close to the ironing board (as I’m sure most people do), it’s a non-issue d. The iron needs constant, and I mean constant, refilling of water. This is directly related to the amount of steam and water spray you use, and I use a ton of it. I end up having to refill the water tank every 2 shirts. If you use starch instead of spray, or don’t like steam, it may last like 4-5 shirts before needing a refill. e. Durability. I have only had the iron for about a month so it’s too early to tell how long it may last, but several people complained that it died or leaked terribly after about 12-18 months. However, bear in mind that if the iron works fine for a few years, virtually noone will come back to write a review saying that it’s a good iron that lasted a long time. You will generally only hear long-term feedback/complaints from those whose irons died early f. The spray button is on the right of the steam surge button, which is a bit strange, but its not that hard to get used to. g. The iron is not digital, and the transition from a digital iron to this is a bit strange as you feel you are taking a “step-down”, even though, in all likelihhod, it’s a better iron than your previous one. 4. If you want the best possible product after ironing and are not concerned with any of the above issues, this is the iron you want to get, hands down. The shirts look amazing, better than they would look after the dry cleaners, and as someone who frequently re-irons shirts after they come back from the cleaners, I would know. The ironing itself is very enjoyable with the DW8080 as the steam is so powerful that you see the burst coming through the other side of the ironing board, and it looks a bit like the Broadway shows where the floor is covered in steam or fog. It’s a powerful machine and very enjoyable to operate. I thought the B&D D2020 had a lot of steam, but this has significantly more and the clothing come out much, much better than they did with the B&D. 5. Unless the price of the DW9080 comes down, I don’t think their claims of “30% more steam” justify the 30% increase in price. I am very happy with the DW8080 and believe that it produces as much steam as anyone could ever want. Similarly, there are many complaints with the cheaper Rowenta models made in China. It is a bit on the heavy side, but that is okay. It has a “burst of steam” feature, and a sprayer (which I’ve not used yet). The burst of steam can be used in the vertical position. The sole shape is concave before the tip, which lets you get into small places. There is a control that lets you adjust the amount of steam you get. The iron has an auto-shutoff feature. There is a light that indicates when it is heating. (Some other reviewer said it was hard to know when it is warmed up. Just wait for this light to go out, and it is warm.) This light is near the base of the handle and is a bit hard to see. It is only visible from the left side, an inconvenience for left-handed users. There is a self-cleaning feature. I’ve not yet used it. The iron consumes 1700 watts, which comes to 14.2 amps. That is close to the 15 amp limit of most household circuits in America. So you had better not have this plugged into the same circuit as anything that consumes much power (say a washing machine). The instructions are very restrictive about the kind of water that can be used. All of the following are not allowed: water from clothes dryers, scented water, softened water, water from refrigerators, batteries, or air conditioners, pure distilled water, per demineralized water (I assume this is another name for de-ionized water), rain water, boiled water, filtered water, bottled water. If your water is hard (mine is quite hard—16 grains per gallon) you are advised to mix tap water and distilled or demineralized water 50-50. I understand some of that; you don’t want any serious foreign gunk in the water and you need some metal ions to avoid pitting of the metal parts of the iron. But why can’t I mix tap water and softened water? And why the prohibition on boiled, filtered, or bottled water? My biggest complaint is this: The steam adjustment has 8 positions. As you move to more flow you seem to be working against a spring. There are detents at the 8 positions that are supposed to make it stay put. But it absolutely won’t say in the highest flow position at all. Positions 4, 5, 6, and 7 are not stable; after a minute of ironing, the lever always seems to have popped down to position 3, which provides too little flow for my ironing tasks. An iron that costs as much as this one does and touts “Made in Germany” should not have a function that does not work right! Another minor issue is that it is hard to see the water level. Also the behavior of the iron seems to vary some with water level. But given that you are always having to reset the steam flow control, it really doesn’t matter. I haven’t seen a T-Fal iron, but given that at least one model gets many 5-star reviews, Consumer Reports rates it the highly, and it is way cheaper, maybe you should check that one out before buying this one. ===== ADDED 9/5/2010 ===== I decided that for the high price I paid for for it, and it was “Made in Germany”, I really deserved to have one where the steam control worked. So I took it back to where I bought it, and they traded it for a new one. That was a big mistake. The steam control on the new one worked perfectly but it spit water something terrible. Even with the temperature in the middle of the cotton-linen region it was bad. At higher steams settings if you held the iron in the air horizontally, it would spew gobs of liquid water. Even at low setting, it would spit out small amounts of liquid and make wet blotches on the garment being ironed. Yes, I could turn the steam off, and iron for a while until the wet spot dried up. But this was even worse that the first one. I returned the iron and got my money back. Two irons in a row defective; I’m lowering my rating from 4 stars to 1 star, since it looks like there are consistent problems, not just a rare minor defect. All I can say is that if you want to try a Rowenta, be sure you ask about return policies and keep your receipts. It’s very cute and sturdy. Since I haven’t given it to them yet, I can’t tell you what they think of it, but after spending 3 1/2 hours putting it together last night, I can give you a few hints on assembly. First, it’s definitely harder than Ikea. Ikea optimizes the assembly so that everything can be put together with one or two types of hardware. This is not the case here. If there is a board, it probably has it’s own hardware. There are seven types of bolts and four types of screws. They organize the hardware nicely in a divided packet, but be very careful not to mix them up. Open only the ones you need from the pack by the perforated cardboard on the back. Don’t mix up the matching bolts and nuts. They come attached to each other. I mixed them up at some point and they didn’t attach easily, even though they were the same type of hardware. I was able to manage with the mini wrench and Allen wrenches supplied, but you do need a Philips screwdriver. It does need to be a real one, not one with interchanges bits since the post holding up the curtain require you to insert the screw inside the post an inch or two and the hole wasn’t wide enough to accommodate my interchangeable screwdriver. There are 35 pieces in the set and 22 steps. The steps, while do not have any text, are pretty clear. Be patient, make sure you’ve attached everything since there are usually many things to attach in each step. Step 1 is probably the hardest, so don’t get discouraged. It essentially puts together the frame. Step 3 is a little visually confusing, but all it really means is that 26 gets attached with screw F and 7 gets attached with screw G. I did notice one slight error. For piece 7, the latch should be on top. It doesn’t appear in diagram in Step 3 (which is shouldn’t since this is a bottom view), but when you see the top view of the piece, in Step 4 it doesn’t appear either (which is should). It doesn’t show up until Step 6 so be careful which direction you assemble it. I noticed small alignment issues. The back splash was a little tight and I had one back panel (piece 21) whose grooves on the bottom didn’t align with the grooves on the side. It wasn’t a huge misalignment, but enough that I had to loosen hardware and push and pull a little to work. So, in summary? It’s harder than Ikea, less standardized, more steps, more pieces but probably sturdier. If you can put together an Ikea piece of furniture, you can put this together, but with a little more patience and time. Don’t wait until Christmas Eve. The resulting play kitchen is really cute — and the little girls in our family love it (a 3 year old and a 1-1/2 year old) I bought them a few real bowls, a small frying pan and wooden spoons to get into the use of the kitchen. (nothing like that is supplied) The girls love that the dials click when you turn them. They love to open and close the cupboards, talk about what they are going to make, and pretend to talk on the phone. The play kitchen is a great traditional toy in that their imaginations are engaged and the children provide a lot of the action. I am glad of that as I get frustrated with most toys on the market that simply have a button for a child to press and then the toy lights up or says something … (in those cases, what is there for the child to do?) The few ideas I have are to have a timer that dings on the play oven, and a magnet-front to the refrigerator so the kids can use refrigerator magnets like the grown-ups. My last two irons were both Rowenta brand. They came so highly reccommended by clerks in fabric shops and by Martha Stewart, using one regularly on her show during craft segments. Well, my first one died in less than a year after purchase. It wasn’t cheap! ($80-90.00 range) I sent it back to the company and asked if they could repair it and let me know what the charge would be since it was out of the warranty period. Two weeks later I got it back, not repaired with a short and somewhat rude note stating that since it was out of it’s warranty they would not touch it, completely ignoring my offer to pay for the repair. Later I decided to try Rowenta again with a lower end model, (less expensive) that still delivered on the steam factor. Well that one lasted about 4 years total before it died but, the steam element went caput in only a few months after purchase. While I researched online for a better, more reliable iron, I struggled along with an old Black & Decker “Professional” model hidden away in the back of the linen closet. I was quickly reminded of why it was tucked back there, it weighs a ton and the steam element is terrible and leaked all over the place. When I saw this Oliso model on Amazon, I went to the manufacturer’s website to get more info and found a short video on the home page showing all the unique features of this iron. I was hooked and knew I had to try one for myself! The i-touch scorch guards are so cool! It took me all of 5 minutes to get used to the idea of leaving the iron flat rather than standing it on it’s heel. It heats up to temperature very quickly too which is great if you are in a rush. The knobs and selectors are very easy to read and understand and the water tank is actually accessible and easy to fill! What a concept!! I do alot of sewing both clothing and household items so this is a much needed and welcome upgrade. I hope over time I will still be able to give this product the 5 star rating, depending on the lifespan of course. So far I am thrilled!…Well at least as thrilled as one could be over an iron! Do you remember when you first learned how to iron, and how inconvenient it was to learn to put the iron up on its end when you turned the fabric to iron more? With this Oliso, you no longer have to do that, as it has 3 feet that automatically come out of the bottom of the iron when you set it down on the faceplate and let go of the handle. Yes, the handle has sensors! This takes a little while to learn if you have been ironing the old-fashioned way with other irons, but once you do, it makes ironing such fun! Other great features of this updated iron: 1) the controls are on top of the handle, not under, so the dial can clearly be read. 2) heats up very quickly. 3) has a large water reservoir, easy to fill. 4) an on/off switch on the base of the iron in case you decide you do want to iron the old-fashioned way. 5) very good steam feature. 6) comes in wonderful colors like sky blue or bright yellow and more! My only word of caution: If you also use another iron – vacation house, sewing room, dorm room – replace that one with an Oliso, too. The front of the set has this large Bat light that when you press a button lights up, and the kids especially love this yellow bat light in the dark. There are 5 activation discs, that when you place Batman or Robin on them and turn, make things happen. One reveals a secret entrance, a second rotates a turnstile for the included Batcycle, a third works on the Batcycle with a mechanical claw, a fourth raises and lowers the elevator for all 4 floors of Batcave access and the fifth reveals a working telescope to look out for the bad guys. There is also a knob that reveals a launcher that shoots projectiles- very safe rounded end plastic ones. You can attach the Batwing on the side of the Batcave and there is a secret entrance for Batman and Robin to pop out and surprise the villains. Then when they catch the bad guys, they can toss them in the jail. The only thing I wish they had included is a bad guy, as I have to go out and buy the Joker soon. I have found every small doll that the girls are missing from their rooms, as well as some of the poor Smurfs in this jail cell. This wonderfully large Batcave gets more play than anything else in the house and for that I give it 5 STARS for Fun and another 5 for sturdiness- this Batcave is built like a tank, which means it will last and not end up broken and in the garbage in a year. This All Around 5 STAR Batcave is highly recommended, as you will definitely get your money’s worth out of it and the kids will absolutely love it. The Imaginext DC Super Friends Batcave playset will entertain kids from 3 to ten. It’s a large structure with different levels for lots of imaginative play. However, many of the moving parts work clunkily out of the box or else feel like they won’t stand up to a lot of playtime. Many of the moving parts are triggered by red discs that turn like knobs. Each disc has a pair of footprints for you to plug any Imaginext figure into and then turn like a key. However, the fit between the disc and the figures rarely snug enough to allow little hands to trigger the reaction this way. As a result, my kids gave up on this almost immediately and began opening gates and moving the elevator manually. Plus, the batsignal usually gets stuck when retracting back into its tube, the rocket launcher rarely moves far enough into place to clear the door in front of it, and so on. So while the basic structure is sound enough, many of te smaller and moving parts disappoint. Also, the footprint of the whole set is narrow enough that it tips over frequently. A pair of extending feet would have solved this problem. On the positive side, it works with all other Imaginext lines of toys, so our Batcave gas already been attacked by pirates, knights and dinosaurs. The kids and I have a great time creating stories and playing them out with the figures (Batman and Robin are included). So, it is an excellent launch point for developing imagination. Overall, my two boys love the Batcave. I would have enthusiastically given it a higher score if only more attention would have been paid to the construction quality and functionality of the moving parts. This is the second Batman Batcave produced by Fisher-Price’s Imaginext line of toys. My son is a big fan of not only Batman but the Imaginext. So it goes without saying that he absolutely loves the Batman Imaginext series. The sets are all interchangeable with the action figures fitting and working with the toys across the whole line of products. This makes combining toys and play sets fun for any child. That is what my son does, and he will play for hours. This Batcave is tall with four levels and a lighted bat-signal light. It also comes with Batman and Robin as well as bat-cycle and glider and a few other accessories. There are a few levels to expand play with many features such as rocket launcher, telescope and elevator. This is different enough from the first Batcave that is serves as an extension to the first one that my son has. Now his Batcave is bigger. This would also be a nice stand-alone toy for a young kid who loves Batman. This is also a more age appropriate toy for a younger boy such as age 3-7. Batman toys can lean toward the “mature” end of the ratings end due to graphic content in the movies and comics. This toy would be perfect for a birthday or Christmas gift for a young boy looking for superhero based toys and action figures. The DC based Imaginext toy line from Fisher-Price has a number of separate vehicles and action figures sold separately to compliment and expand on this product too. There are villians such as The Joker and Penguin as well as other super heroes like Superman and Green Lantern. Hexbug is staring to change all that though with these new sets – my kids love the multilevel aspect. There is a ramp for the hexbug to travel up and roam around on the second level. My kids get the biggest kick out of this happening. They can also use the pegs on the lower level to create obstacles for the hexbugs to maneuver around. Like the other hexbug habitats, this one connects into other parts, so it can be part of a bigger hexbug city. Definitely a great creative addition to our set!
